Deepening Knowledge
Image generated from Adobe Photoshop
Behold the vessel of the heart, empty and pristine,
A canvas awaiting the brush of the divine.
Thirsty as the desert sands, parched for meaning's spring,
The soul's fountain, long dormant, yearns to drink and sing.
Yet heed the Beloved's call, the Radiant Sun's bright ray -
Its warmth awakens the seed, calls the bud to unfold its way.
For knowledge flows not from the mind's insatiable hold,
But blossoms from the spirit's embrace, its mysteries untold.
What good are facts amassed, if the heart remains in shade?
A garden of withered blooms, its verdant promise decayed.
Nay, let the light of wisdom flood the empty space within,
That the soul may know its essence, its jewel-like truth within.
In that moment of revelation, when veils are drawn aside,
The scattered shards of learning find their center, their guide.
The once-barren vessel overflows with celestial rain,
Brimming with life's sweet elixir, its purpose made plain.
So empty not your mind, but open wide your heart's vast sea -
There shall the waves of divine knowledge rise and set you free.
For true learning is not gathering, but a letting go,
That the spirit's hidden treasure may finally bestow.
